Swing Opera

Swing Opera, where the best-loved opera arias meet the rousing rhythms of swing music to create a unique, entertaining and enchanting show designed to appeal to everyone!

This ground-breaking musical project started in Turin, Italy, in early 2017, as the jazz manouche trio Accordi Disaccordi combined forces with eclectic opera mezzosoprano Chiara Osella.
Swing Opera seeks to transcend the boundaries between musical genres by bringing together the virtuoso style of Accordi Disaccordi with Chiara Osella's exuberant performances and powerful stage presence, taking the audience on a new exciting journey into music history.

Swing Opera is also a project open to other artists, whereby the core band is at times joined by other top musicians on different instruments (such as accordion or trumpet).
This fresh and innovative musical project has already played to several sold-out crowds for prominent events and venues (Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, Piccolo Teatro Regio in Turin, Festival Verdi in Parma, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival...) and in the best Philharmonic Halls during a one-month tour among Russia.

Accordi Disaccordi
(trio)

Accordi Disaccordi is an Italian trio formed in 2012 in Turin by co-founders Alessandro Di Virgilio and Dario Berlucchi on guitar, who are joined by Elia Lasorsa on double bass.

Their gypsy jazz repertoire is performed with a contemporary vibe and interspersed with the band's own compositions and arrangements, creating a unique style that has come to be known as "hot Italian swing".

Accordi Disaccordi are resident artists at the Umbria Jazz festival and at Turin's Venaria Royal Palace, as well as having performed twice at Antibes Jazz Festival - Jammin' Juan.

In addition to touring the UK and Germany, they have performed in dozens of Russian cities and venues during four tours of that country, with audiences totalling in excess of 25,000 people, and with a fifth extensive tour of Russia scheduled for November 2017.

Accordi Disaccordi are also a regular feature on Italian state broadcaster RAI, performing live to audiences of millions.

In her concert career, Chiara Osella has performed at the Rome Auditorium, Turin's Lingotto, the Palais de l'Unesco in Paris, and at the Seoul Arts Center, in a concert that was broadcast live on Korean state TV.
